Looks like a rhode island red to me, and appears to be under a week old.

Looks like a 1 week old Rhode Island Red. The only way to sex is by vent sexing, which a beginner would not be able to do, I don't think. It is somewhat involved, lol. Whatch out if it is a rooster, those things will cut you up.
