This auction is for 6+ fertile hatching eggs from our Buff Laced/Gold Laced/Blue Laced Gold Brahmas. Bidding will start at $20.00. Shipping charges of $12.00 are not included in the bid price. Please bid by reply to this post. The auction ends on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 10:00 p.m. EST. Our chickens are all well taken care of, having spacious separate pens and being allowed to free range alternately during the week. We do not use artificial lights so our hens are happy and unstressed. None of the breeds are allowed to mix so you are guaranteed to receive eggs from the breed listed in this auction.
These Buff Laced/Gold Laced/Blue Laced Gold Brahmas are of the well renown Dan Powell lineage and are absolutely stunning despite the fact that they are still a work in progress
Brahmas in general are considered a utility bird for their edibility and generous egg laying and hardiness even during the winter months. The average weight of roosters is 11 pounds where the hen’s average weight is 8.5 pounds. They lay an average of 140 tinted eggs annually. Brahmas are calm, friendly birds that make good pets or exhibition fowl. They are a popular choice for families with children. They have been very easy to raise and make a rather quiet and beautiful flock.
The distinct difference between the well known Light and Dark Brahmas and these are their beautiful feather plumage. Our first flock consists of a Buff Laced Brahma rooster over Buff Laced Brahma hens and Gold Laced Brahma hens and our second flock is only a pair consisting of one Gold Laced Brahma rooster over one Blue Laced Gold Brahma hen. The resulting chicks from the first flock will be either Buff Laced or Gold Laced while the chicks from the second flock will be either Gold Laced or Blue Laced Gold.
All our flocks have received their NPIP Certification, having been tested for Avian Influenza, Pullorum and Typhoid. I also carry an egg candling license and a poultry dealer/broker license. We have been raising chickens for more than ten years and have been hatching from our own eggs since 2009.
I will gather these eggs over the weekend the auction ends and will ship USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation on the following Monday or Tuesday as long as payment is received beforehand. All our eggs are kept in a 55 degree egg cooler and turned three times daily prior to shipment. When the eggs are shipped, I will wrap them individually with tissue, place them in a carton wrapped with bubble wrap and pack them in a box filled with shredded paper. Our customers have been very satisfied with our packing job and love that even though the eggs are easy to get out of the package, they are packed very securely. Unfortunately, we have no control over what happens to the eggs once they leave our hands, i.e. rough handling, x-rays, poor incubator settings, etc. I will try to send a minimum of at least 2 extra eggs to increase the odds for you to get all the eggs that you ordered. If you should order eggs from one of our other auctions, we will combine shipping at only $5.00 extra per auction after paying shipping for the item with the highest shipping cost.
Please pay within 48 hours of the end of the auction by Paypal payment to [email protected]
Shipping only available to the Continental 48 states.
Good luck and happy bidding!
