6 day old duckling freaks out when drinking.

We have a 6 day old duckling who sort of freaks out when he drinks. Is this normal behaviour for a duckling, I thought he may have wry neck after reading a few threads but it only seems to be when he drinks, he throws his head back and stumbles backwards. I do have a video but I can't seem to upload it

Ducklings can have issues if the water is too cold. Room temp is the best for ducklings. I don't know why, but they tend to have issues with cold water.

I agree with @Crazy Maizie it sounds like their water is too cold . What temperature is their water?

I haven't actually temp checked it but I've been trying to get it luke warm to the touch, do you think I should make it slightly warmer and see what happens.

Yes I would go to a comfortably warm temperature. Often lukewarm is based off of personal preference if not actually temperature checked with a thermometer and can be too cold for a freshly hatched duckling. I start out with warm water the first week and then by the second slowly adjust to lukewarm and then by the third my duckling are usually well adapted to cold water.
