6 foot fenced acre and safety

So, we have decided to build a run within our fenced yard for the guineas and chickens, at least to give them a more predator proof space while they grow up. We're considering an electric fence. Will we need to cover the top with netting too? In all of the electric fence photos I see on google, I see no roof.

Mine can easily fly to the roof of our workshop which I think is 14 feet. I let them out to range free during the day but they always come back at night to roost. I say always but occasionally one will get seperated and end up spending the night somewhere. Overall they tend to be pretty wary of ground predators during the day as the flock stays pretty tight together and someone is always on guard. And at the slightest hint of danger they take off like a flock of grouse. It's night where you have to worry because in the dark they just sit still. I can walk right up and pick them up off the roost. I have 26 keets right now in a fenced pen which is netted over. I won't let them out until I'm sure they will come home to roost. Probably not until they are mature.
