6 girls/2 boys or 2 girls and 6 boys???

I have 8 guinea. I am unsure of their breed - perhaps lavender?? But 2 of the babies have larger white feather's along their sides and 6 do not. Does anyone know if they are girls or boys? Or just different?

They are just pied. The only way to tell is when the females start calling out Buck-Wheat.
"I" think they say Butt-crack but that's just me! )

OK call me crazy but what does the term pied mean? & they DO make a different noise. & Ihad been told that one crys buckwheat and one does not - and you aren't crazy I always thought they said butt crack too! I thought it was just me because I'm just butt crack crazy! ;-)

That means they just have white feathering. LOL

Females go Buck-wheat and males go Chi-chi-chi and some noises both sexes make.

They are just pied.

Correction Duckie.. they are Pied Pearl Greys. Any color (except the pure Whites obviously) can be Pied!


ETA:
I only see white flight feathers... to be considered actual Pied Guineas, they would also have a patch of white chest feathers to some degree.

ok I get it I think. they are pied pearl grey guineas and who knows what sex they are until we have them screaming right in front of us! Right? lol Which they do when they want a treat.
