6 have turned into 17. What to do???

yeah well chicken math was THE FIRST thing i learned...wanted 6, ordered 15 from hatchery, couldn't wait 5 days for those, so when out and bout 5 (1 died) and 3 days later 15 healthy fuzzbutts come to my house, then went out and bout 7 more, and then wanted some other breeds and bought 4 more, but one was mean and had to be rehomed. so WANTED 6 - got 5 lost 1, 4 - then got 15 more, 19 - then added 7 more, 26, and then added 4 more, 30 - but rehomed one...so 29! 29 is close to 6 right? not too much for someone who has NEVER in her life owned or even been around a chicken

I''ve had "only" 6 chickens all year and am slowly working at building my backyard flock up towards 15 birds because although I do really enjoy them, I find 6 birds alot of work for only a few eggs...because right now, for example, one is moulting, so not laying. Two are broody so not laying. one is a rooster, so obviously doesn't lay. one is so old she only lays occasionally. So I get one bantam-sized egg somewhat reliably.....more birds would make it seem a little more worthwhile.
