6+ Black Sumatra hatching eggs--from private breeder & my own stock, NOT hatchery birds. Rooster has dark comb and three spurs per leg. Hens are very nice as well.

These eggs will ship next week (Monday).

$22 shipped

Thank you,

~Heather

Are you sure they are spurs?

Sumatras can grow up to 5 spurs per leg. I have a Black Sumatra rooster and he has 3 spurs per leg, too.

Do you have any current pictures of the parent stock? Since you are so far from me, would you have any more of these when the weather cools down?

Pics please.

Thank you!

It looks really cool, IMO. It was one of the things (wierd I know!) that drew me to Sumatras LOL Unfortunately, I've had no luck getting girls for him!

Sure do! The rooster is just going into a molt, though so he's not looking very good--but I can dig up some pics of this spring...

Yes, I should have eggs when the weather cools down, too!

Here is a pic of the rooster--he was NOT happy (during coop construction). I put all of my roos in together to keep the hens pure (which were all in together). The Sumatras' pen was finished first, so they are in together. I currently have one rooster and two hens.

The rooster's comb has darkened since being an active breeder and out in the morning sun. It's nearly purple most of the time.

Hens:
This one was a determined broody! LOL I finally had to move her to a wire cage to "cool her down!"
