We have a 6 week old, yesterday/today, BA (black) chick that has always been fond of me/my hand. In the last several days she (from guess on BYC) gets on my hand, squats down and shakes her tail feathers. I thought maybe this is a male. Then I remembered our AG parrot, she would also do this to my husbands hand....then she would regurgitate food for him. Any knowledge on this behavior? None of the 8 clutches of chicks have behaved this way.
