6 week old Barred rocks, temp?

I have the same question I have 2 lavender Orpingtons and 3 barred rocks that have been outside since they were 6 weeks. Now at 8 weeks they are still outside but our temp is dropping below 50 and they are saying rain. Do I need to put them back in with a brooder plate ? I’m probably overthinking this.
Yes you are. If you read the responses you'll see that most of us say yours could have been outside two weeks or more ago. The rain we did not mention. The rain doesn't matter as long as they can get out of it if they choose. As long as it is not that stormy mine like to hunt for worms in the rain.

50F isn't cold to a fully-feathered chicken. I often have 4-week babies off heat in those temperatures.

I agree 100%.

As long as they have the option to go in to somewhere dry I don't worry about my chickens getting wet.

Hopefully both still hens- Broomstick is darker, Spanky is a little lighter. Inside tonight for sure because 30s.
Not trying to be a party pooper here, but it looks like it could potentially be a rooster and a hen. Let them grow out before making any hasty decisions, but the color difference reminds me of my own barred rocks, a male and female I raised up hoping they were both female. If I'm not mistaken the boys are prone to double barring so they typically appear lighter. Pic from Google for reference what I'm talking about

I’ve wondered, but here’s a recent pic. I think the lighter is just odd, but hen?

Thanks- we only raised two of them, they are always together, and her tail feathers and feet definitely say hen to me. They’re so bonded it would be very sad if one was a roo. Really enjoying them in the bigger flock mix. They’re so friendly and social.
