Hi all 🐥🐥
I have a six week old chick who, about a week ago got splayed legs and curled toes. I am trying vet wrap, rubber bands etc each day and trying to encourage the little critter to stand up. It doesn't seem to be working 😏 I read on here that someone had made a hanging sling. How do I do this please? Any help much appreciated as I want to try and help the little beauty xx

Hiya, and welcome to BYC!! :frow

I found this thread on slings. There's bunches here but one should help you.

Is it getting grower/starter feed? Perhaps needs some chick vitamins too, like Poultry Cell or Nutra Drench, etc. Good luck!

Thank you for your reply ! On Chick crumb at the moment. I will check it all out. I've had Bantams for many years and very lucky not to have had this problem before x

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

@Debbie292d has definitely left you a great link to follow. Definitely add a good poultry supplement to her diet like Poultry Cell. The B vitamins help strengthen weak muscles and tendons. Also, have her stand in a small cup for 10 mins a couple times a day, one that allows her to stand but not splay.
If she is weak in general, it may take a couple of months to get her up to standard strength, just keep working on her. Good luck and keep us posted!
