Helli,
I have a 6 week old dove. He is unusually small and not interested in eating seeds.
I put him on formula (kaytee) and he is vomiting the formula. Despite his size he is very alert affectionate and looking like he wants to eat ( wing flapping and pecking).
I am trying to figure out what I should do? I think at this point I should just tube feed him water and electrolyted to make sure he doesn't become dehydrated. Also to allow his crop to empty of the Katy formula because I think it's doing him wrong.
Any other ideas? On what to feed him or how to go about this?
I also gave him on trimethylamine in case he had a gi infection. Since he has been having water dropping prior to the formula feeding.
Thanks for reading.
