I have 6 week old hens. It’s my first time having chickens and I am loving the experience but learning a long the way. I have one feather foot girl that has never really had her feathers come in like the others and has always looked a little scraggly. I haven’t noticed any of my other girls picking on her but I have noticed that she picks at herself. Today I found a little blood near her rear end. I’m not sure what could be causing this. I’ve searched her for mites or lice but done see anything. I am feeding them grower feed. What do I need to do to help her stop plucking at herself?

She's growing in feathers. Young birds go through multiple molts as the grow. I don't see anything that looks like picking. She may just be trying to preen. Not sure about the blood. I find a daily helping of scrambled eggs can help feathers come in faster.
