I had my medley of chicks out to free range today and noticed one chick had a low squatty walk. I initially noticed it a day or so ago, but didn't pay much attention since it ran normal when I walked over to pick it up to check on it. I figured he(?) may've stepped in a hole or something since it was their first free range day.

When I noticed in again today I managed to nab him and look him(?) over. I felt the legs which didn't seem to be swollen, warm or tender and pinched his toes to check for nerve issues and everything seems fine except for the odd squatty walk (he runs fine).

They have had a (or several) growth spurts so I'm wondering if that has something to do with it. I'm planning on adding Nurti-drench to the main waterer tomorrow to see if it helps. Anything else I should look for or try? I'll get a video of the squatty walk tomorrow.

Instead of NutriDrench, give him 1/4 tablet of human or animal vitamin B complex daily. Crush it and feed it in a spoonful of water or put it in a bit of food. Poultry Cell vitamins 2-3 drops a day would work also. Poultry NutriDrench does not contain riboflavin, and he may be showing signs of riboflavin deficiency. Here is some reading :

Thanks I'll pick some up. Should I give any sort of pain/anti-inflammatory meds incase it's a sprain of some sort, or hold off and see if the Poultry Cell vitamins does the trick.
