Hey all, I have two Orloffs about 6 weeks old. I’ve never had the breed before so I don’t know what I’m looking for as far as signs, in terms of sexing. This is the bigger of the two; looks totally prehistoric IMO, lol. Do they develop slow? Both have no signs of a comb or wattles.

Both look to be pullets, but they're still a bit young to be 100% sure. This is a very slow growing breed.
I should’ve specified, the photos are of only one bird. The bigger of the two. If this one is looking pullet-ish, I have high hopes for the second. Thanks so much for your response!

The combs of both are still small and pale, so by that measure they still look to be pullets. The size difference may mean something or nothing. Sometimes one bird will just develop faster than the other, and it doesn't have anything to do with gender. And sometimes size difference does indicate gender. So if I was you I'd be optimistic but still keep your on on them for rapid growth/coloring of the combs.

I’ve been closely examining their combs and they’re still both relatively the same, flat & pale. So, that’s positive/encouraging. That said, I’ll proceed with cautious optimism!
