6 weeks old -what gender, if possible?

Here are my Delawares. I'm pretty sure Mae is a pullet. I wonder about Della because she has so much more smudgy stuff on her back and I read that could mean male.

Look at their tail feathers closely. Hens will have short rounded feathers and Roos will have ever so slightly more wispy feathers in their tail. It’s hard to tell, and I actually thought that 2 of my Roos were hens until reality smacked me in the face when they started crowing! Lol but having a rooster is awesome! Ours have been handled everyday since chicks and they are super sweet! If you do end up with a rooster, congrats!! ❤️

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to have roosters where I live. And one of my 12 is most likey a rooster (a Cuckoo Maran), so I already have one to rehome :( I don't want to rehome any more.

If you don't want to rehome any more, you may have to end up eating them. There is a glut of roosters on the market - some of them even free.

Here are my GLW. The one is much darker than the other. I don't know if that is a sex difference because I couldn't find any information on that. Also, they both have combs that are pretty bright orange, bright compared to all the other chickens I have.
I forgot to mention one other observation I have had with Wyandotte chicks. The ones that turn out to be Cockrels have always grew tail feathers first and they are usually fast growing and longer than the pullets tails. My first batch of 6 had 3 males all which grew long tails first, second batch had 4 of 6 same thing, and my 3rd batch of 6 I have 4 again, and one other thing, they are always rowdy little farts. Good luck! :thumbsup
