Hello. We have 21 Chickens and wanted 2 Guinea. Someone sold us two and one of the Guinea turned out to be a Quail. We are in Minnesota, near Mpls. We need to find her a home before winter.
All the baby chicken and Guinea we bought with her are getting big and will need to be integrated into the coop with the others soon, and she is tiny and will most likely only get 7" so she cant be with the flock. Would someone be able to give her a good home with other Quails where the cage is big enough to accommodate her jumping? She's a jumper, jumps like a foot in the air and runs super fast too. She is free to a good home that doesn't eat them. I'm very attached to her and just want her to be happy and free to move around and not be in fear of the chickens. When we got her she was the size of a frog and had crippled feet. We taped them with little band aid * boots* and she was ok in 3 days . Now she loves to run and jump. We don't want her to be alone but getting more Quail will only exacerbate the problem. Thanks
