I was so busy yesterday, I wasnt ablento check on my chickw much. I found 1 last night with pasty butt. I treated her pasty butt yesterday, she was extremely weak not able to stand well and swaying. Ive been giving her water with chick electrolytes with a syringe every hour. She has been drinking that ok. She is not eating though which worries me. Another thing is she wont keep her eyes open, but will chirp like crazy and fight a bit when I pick her up to give her water. Is there anything else I need to do? Should I try and add ground up starter in the water?? Ive never had this issue before.. I have a brooder radiant heater now that she will walk under and she stays there the entire hour between water breaks.

How old is she? It sounds like failure to thrive. There is not much you can do to bring these poor little things around.

Try giving her a little Poultry Nutri-drench and put some sugar in the water you are giving her to see if that perks her up enough for her to want to eat. Make a mash out of her chick starter crumbles so it is relatively wet but she can still eat it. Put a few drops of Poultry Nutri-drench in the mash too.
