7 months without an egg

Well I used the butt check method provided by @aart last night on all the new girls. All 4 are in the "single digits" so to speak, so Carmen still stands to lay green eggs. :yesss:
Now, this means someone laid 2 eggs! How does one figure that one out?:idunno

Hmmmmm...tonight I checked the Ladies. Wynnie is definitely laying, no surprise there. Henneth, nope. Small space. The BOs? Now why in chickendom can't I find their bones? I had no problem with 6 birds. Why can't I with these 2?:barnie

Too much fluff?
It can be hard to find them.
Part the feathers until you see the vent, then feel out from there.
They should be out to the side and slightly above the vent.

How’s Henneth doing Cryss?
Henneth Fowltrow is great. She is no longer bottom bird since the new girls arrived. But 10 months later and still no green eggs. Looks like Carmen will be our source for green eggs in a couple weeks.
Tiny little Kitkit, the youngest of the new gals, decided bedtime in the downstairs cuddle on the floor wasn't for her. 2 nights ago I found her sitting in a nest trying to sleep with 2 eggs under her. No not her eggs. Then last night she was roosting right up there next to the hens. She's the frost white Legbar. Matilda the white Leghorn sits in the doorway of the roosting area. Bunny the BCM and Carmen the EE have started roosting on the ladder. Everyone is slowly making there way into the adult flock at their own pace. I'm just surprised that Kitkit is the first. I was told she was 6 weeks old when I got her but I'm thinking more like 4, maybe 5. That was mothers day. The others were 8-10 weeks old then.
