I'm pretty positive I know the answer to the question I'm asking but I also get confused each day by trying to sex my chickens! Lol! My brahmas are 7 weeks old come Saturday and I know one for sure is a cockerel. "Her" name was chosen by my youngest and she called her princess..... well princess is looking more and more like a prince. :lau My daughter isnt too happy about it. Neither is my husband. But "she" is definitely one of my favorites so he or she is staying. Lol! Now my new hampshire, I'm not sure about. I have no one to compare her to. I say she because of the rounded feathers but I could be wrong. Really hoping I dont have 2 roo's. One I can handle but not 2. And of course they are both my favorites...

Ok so here we go.... theres 4 brahmas and 1 new hampshire (also the bahama has orangey feathers coming in, red comb and wattles, and green iridescent tail feathers. The new Hampshire is the same but I know that's normal for a new Hampshire pullet.... I think lol!) 20190323_190125.jpg

I had a BR once my daughter named Princess, my daughter used to carry the BR on pillows, long after it should have been on pillows. Princess was a Prince.

Today I went to get some chicks they only had Brahmas and meat chickens to chose from. I got 2 brahmas.

Everything about "princess" is a prince through and through! This is just now. The other pictures were from last week. This is 7 weeks old. He is completely different from the other chickens. Thicker legs, deeper chirp and sounds, bright red wattles and comb. Comb keeps getting bigger. Chest bumps our new hampshire (who went from being Ariel to Hehe from moana... lol! Can you tell my daughter named them?) Rushes the other chickens, alerts everyone of the dogs, etc. All the rooster qualities. If hes not a rooster then everything I have read (books, articles, asked opinions, etc.) are all lies. Lol!
