Hi, I am new to the forum and new to having chickens. I have 3 hens and 1 rooster who I love them dearly, they are 8 months old. My chick Phoenix is 7 weekd old and had a leg that went out to the side. I took her from a friend that could not care for her. She has an amazing spirit and a will to live. She hobbles and flies around when I bring her outside. Right now she is in the house in a cage, She is having a hard time, but eating like crazy. Her right leg goes out to the side, and her good leg is starting to do the same. I am not sure if this is because she is growing and that leg is hard to hold her up? I guess my main question is , is it to late to tape her legs before she has swaddle legs, or split legs. She seems happy, very eager to be involved. She watches T.V. with us at night. But always flopping her wings. I put her outside everyday to get some exercise and hang with the other chicks. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. We love this little bird and want to help her. Thanks
