7yr old Male Akita

Our Male Akita doesn't like the 4th of July much. He gets the shakes and is extremly attached. In Chicago there are non stop fire works for at least 2 weeks lol. So I'm wondering about how much dramine to give him he weighs about 80lbs. Our 1 yr old Cane Corso didn't like them last year but this year shes great. Would appreciate any ideas, We have some for our 3yr old son, he doesn't do well in the car all the time.

draminine or benedryl don't work as sedatives for every dog. you will need to have him tested out with it first. Or you can go to your vet for Xanax, Valium or other tranquilizers.
