8 button - 2 coturnix babies so far and counting

I have 7 coturnix eggs and 14 buttons in the bator - set to hatch today/tomorrow

I have been so busy with building a new button pen and dealing with puppies that I did not even notice the babies had hatched LOL

I did not hear them peeping because the bator is sitting on the counter next to a brooder of ringnecks so I guess the ringnecks covered up tiny button peeps

all 3 babies are going to be white !!

I will get pics when they are dry and fluffy

dang I still have to set up a brooder for them !!!

still nothing from the coturnix hope they are just taking thier time

out of the 6 test eggs the zoo sent home with me 2 of them have finally hatched !!

still have 4 test eggs ( zoo ) and 1 test egg from my little group left

along with 12 more button eggs ( 6 are set to hatch in another few days )

well as of this morning I have 9 button babies -- 2 silvers -- 4 whites - 2 have no clues - 1 that looks jet black ( if it stays black I will be keeping him/her )

and 5 coturnix babies have hatched from the test eggs from the zoo


I have 2 coturnix eggs left and a couple of buttons left I am leaving them until this afternoon and if nothing happens by then I am going to make tiny little pips and see if they are alright

The one that appears to be black is probably a blue face
