This auction is for 8+ Chocolate Orpington day old chicks. All chicks are sold straight run. These chicks will hatch on Monday, June 1, 2015, and will ship Express Mail on the same day for a flat rate of $50.00 unless you elect for pick-up. Pick-ups must be made within one (1) week of hatch date. If you order other chicks from us on the same date, there will only be one flat rate of $50.00 for all chicks ordered, no limit.
Large Fowl Orpingtons are a popular dual-purpose variety, weighing between 7 and 10 pounds and laying an average of 200 eggs per year. English Orpingtons are purported to reach sizes of even 13 pounds, though ours are only a little over a year old and have yet to reach this weight. They have the beautiful loose feathering which makes them appear to be heavier than their true weights and have the nice round look that Orpingtons are known for.
