8 mo. old new hampshire red not laying yet

has anyone ever had a hen that just does not lay???? my girl is 8 mo. old seems healthy, eats well just doesnt lay. Her siblings began laying 2 mo. ago

When I first got chickens I had an ee that never laid. I took her out of the coop the next spring and she was so fat!!

She just did not develop properly so I had to cull her.

I would give yours til next spring and see what happens. Do the birds have about 14 hours of light per day?
