ok, it looks like and smelled like she broke an egg inside. There was a leathery shell piece stuck half in half out and there was alot of yellowish granular looking stuff in her abdomen and it smelled pretty bad.

Hats off to you for going about finding out what happened. Not a nice job.

I don't think there is a lot that can be done for many egg bound/internal laying problems. Least you can rule out otherthings that might be more worrying to the rest of your flock.

Too bad. Poor girl. Not much can be done about that. Sorry you lost her, but at least she didn't suffer for years with it as some hens do.
