Eight (8) hens available for some backyard chickens. All have been raised on organic only feed and scratch and treats from day 1. They were hatched Feb 2015 and hand raised.
Would love if they found a home with plenty of acres to roam. All have good temperament. Some are a bit skittish. All come at the sound of scratch. They currently live in an enclosed run with a coop and tunnels for outside access during the day and get to free range for an hour or two in the evening.
Rhode Island Red x 1 - Named Venti (or Red)
Ameraucana x 3 - Named Cortana, Spartan, and Soleil - two lay light blue, one lays light green (not sure which)
Buff Orpingtons x 2 - Named Lemon and Poppy
Black Australorps x 2 - Named Lumi and Belle
If the whole flock goes, I will include their water bucket, feeder, and whatever food I have left (currently have probably a two week supply of organic layer pellets and maybe a four month supply of organic scratch).
Whole flock produces between 3 to 7 eggs daily in the summer months. Will likely molt in late October all around the same time frame. One of the Austs goes broody twice a year. I use the crate breaking method for three days since I don't hatch, but I think she'd be great if you want to let her hatch.
Open to offers, thinking $180 for flock but I've never sold any before... $20 each with a minimum of two ladies (I'd feel better if they at least had a friend).
Located in Oxford, GA. Local pickup, might be willing to meet further south in Eatonton or Milledgeville.
