I have 6 chicks who are about 8 weeks old. One chicken was sitting by herself last night...when I picked her up I noticed that her crop was empty. I offered her water and she drank a bit. I offered her some scrambled eggs and she ate fairly well. This am she is still lethargic...walking around but did not want to go outside the coop.
There was some diarrhea on the poo board and saw her pass some very loose stool...no blood but seemed to have some mucous. I'm a new chicken mom so dont want to over/under react. The chicks have a clean coop, and clean water, dry food etc. I have read several treatments from ACV, to garlic, epsom salts, antibiotics etc. They were vax for Mericks at the hatchery. Please advise. I was going to offer her more scrambled egg this am and add some electrolytes to her water. Should I do anything else or separate her? (would that stress her more?)
Please advise!
Thanks
