8 week old Pekins, males??

These 2 are few days past 8 weeks old. These are the only sounds we've ever heard from them. We've never heard anything sounding like a loud quack. Our first ducks so the best guess is they're both boys. Let me know what you think.

That does sound like a boy, but at 8 weeks their voice may still change and end up being loud. So you never know

I read that one before I posted haha! After viewing their video, my guess was female for their duck. It’s making a sound I do not hear from mine. BUT it’s a lot older, so there’s time mine may get that “quack” I guess.

Oh they will be separated for sure. The chicken coop is around on the other side of the house. They’ve just been raised together since we picked them up, it was easier to have just one brooder.

You got that right. The leghorn was chasing one of the girls and they ended upon the duck pen, the the male duck tried going for the femal chicken. Swooped her up real fast.
