I had an interesting year with my chick order this spring - received wrong breed, didn't receive another breed I ordered, etc - but so far their sexting ratio seems above average. Out of 14 that shipped, all survived and I'm not seeing any roos EXCEPT for this (maybe) creamy-colored 8-week old.
I ordered a couple of EEs and one of mine looks very similar to EEs I've had in the past (see photo) but I actually had to call and ask what this solid white chick was. Supposedly it was also an EE pullet, but I suspected at about 2 weeks as it began showing its true colors, it wasn't a pullet.
I need to grit my teeth and catch the wily bugger and inspect feathers to tell for sure, but please save me the chicken chase and tell me your opinion. Is it an EE cockerel, you think?
It usually looks and acts like a cockerel, in other words a PITA
, but sometimes it looks soooo pullet-ish, but that could be my optimistic side coming out. It is very sweet (so far) but I don't keep roos. However I'm hopeful, so please tell me if I'm wrong!
