Hi Catsew, that's one intriguing bird you've got there! Is it pure NN, or is there something more feathery going on in its genome? Either way, I'd say its head could be just about passed off for female (don't know about NNs but I've had other breeds where comb is that big in females), but the tail is looking rather luxuriant for a hen. Fingers crossed its whatever you want it to be!

Well actually surprisingly enough, I would prefer it to be a rooster. We have 2 roosters already and it would complicate things if this was the only girl. It will still complicate things if its a boy, but that gives us until spring to decide. Otherwise we have to decide when we introduce this one to the coop. I also wanted to breed my blue rooster with this if it was a girl, but now that I know I can just buy the eggs already proven, I don't even need that to happen anymore.
