Ok here we go.
I got two Cochins that were supposed to be hens. One definitely is and another is in question. I was told they were 6-8 weeks old when I picked them up and I have had them for three weeks. So they are 9 to 11 weeks old. Based off of feathering I’m thinking more like 9-10. Anyways, my light gray one is worrying me. I already have two roosters and I’m not technically allowed them so I have to put them away at night in my garage. It’s a total pain. I can’t have another rooster but of course I’m already attached. Anyways, here are the photos let me know what you think.

It's a cockerel, and I doubt it's any older than 6 weeks old now. I'm not saying this is definitely the case here, but some people will lie about age to fool people into buying what they know to be males.

Uhg! I would not be surprised if that was the case in this instance. It was an interesting exchange. Well shoot…..this is a huge bummer.
