9 day old chick...what breed?

Here is Solstice. What breed does he/she look like? The mother is an Auracana/silkie cross(lays xl green blue eggs) and the roo is a blue copper maran. Thanks!

Well, you can't tell for sure at this young of an age, but it's going to be some sorta mix between the two. Since there are so many breeds involved, it's hard to tell. Sorry I couldn't be more of a help!

It looks like a Araucana-Silkie-Marans cross.

In other words, he/she isn't a breed as it is a mixed breed with characteristics of the breeds within the mix. I can say that the color looks to be blue (no surprise from the Blue Marans).

He/she won't breed true due to the mixture of genetics.

Cute chick though. If mom laid blue eggs, if a hen, she will have 50/50 chance of laying blue eggs too, and with the Marans lineage, probably olive.

If you know what her parents are, then you already know her breed, silly. The little darling is very pretty, though.

Its a crossbred. If the parents were different breeds then the offspring is a crossbred.
