Hello,
I've done chickens for quite awhile but have never seen something like this.
My Langshan pullet is 9 weeks old. I have a "feeling" she got chilled and was kept away from feed from the broodies that are in the "chick hut". The hut has been divided now, but the Langshan chick is sitting under the heat lamp non stop. She hasn't eaten, hasn't drank and keeps her eyes closed. When she does open them, they seem "puffy" and are definitely watery.
I have used some VetRx to see if that would help, but she has no upper respiratory symptoms?
Here is what she has done the past 2 days:
Walk around with eyes closed.
Walk near food, then turn around and go back to sitting under the heat lamp.
There are 4 other birds in with her that are all doing very well. No issues at all with them. None of the others are seeking out heat like she is. She is completely feathered.
I will be taking her back to my apartment this week, so if there are any ideas???
