9 week old roosters

Should I hear crowing soon? Or still way too early?

Do you have adult roosters in the flock? Sometimes, but not always, adult roosters in the flock will intimidate the younger roos and keep them from crowing.

I have two adult roos, three 3 month old cockerels. Haven't heard a peep out of the young boys yet. However, when my 11 month old rooster was a baby, he could hear my adult roo crowing and it didn't stop him. He was crowing at two weeks old.

One of my cockerels started crowing at five or six weeks old. He may have started crowing because he heard the larger roos. He doesn't crow very often though.

ETA: I did have an EE who did not crow till he was at least four months old.
