I moved the entier flock from their brooder 5 days ago. Since 2 days, my blue Ameraucana jumps on me to be held every time i walk into the coop, which is not her normal behavior. I noticed that she is sneezing and shivering. No runny nose, has regular poops, no eye discharge. She is smaller than the other birds as well. Provably the size of a 7 week chick. She is vaccinated for Mareck, eat non medicated organic feed, which she is not too fond of. Other hens aren’t pecking on her. The night here are in the 40’s so i put heated lamp in their 12X20 insulated coop/shead type. They are on white shavings and arent going outside yet because it is too cold. I noticed that the black Australorp was also shivering this afternoon...

Can someone help me figure out what is going on? Did i moved them while too cold outside? Are they getting sick? was hoping to fix what ever is going on before it gets worse.
Thanks in advance!

What is the temperature in the coop, and under the heat lamp? How high is the lamp from the chicks? Are they fully feathered? Is the sneezing occasional, such as when they are eating the feed, or it is fairly constant, every few minutes? Is there any drafts on the chicks? What is their age, and do they seem afraid of the older birds?

Thank for reading and helping. the sneezing is fairly consistent every couple of minute or so. Enough for my teen to noticed that this one hen was sneezing to comment on it. Temperature in the coop varies. At morning I read 55 on one side of the coop and 63-65 under the lamp. In afternoon it reads mid to low 60 on one side of coop and low 70 under lamps. 2 Lamps are next to each-other and about 4 feet high. All birds look all fully feathered.

Have the older birds ever had symptoms of infectious bronchitis at one time? Did these chicks come from a hatchery, a feed store, breeder, or from your eggs? If any act sick, they might need a little extra heat.

There are no older birds. I got all 12 chicks from a hatchery. They were shipped at a day old. Been super healthy until 2 days ago. I added a space heather this morning and looks like it might helped her. She just stopped shivering and the temperature is about 70 all around the coop. I ll add a third lamp in there. I also gave the a nice pourage for the first time today hoping it would warm her up ad make her eat...which she did.

Since they are the only chickens and probably were not exposed to infectious bronchitis, I think the sneezing is probably from something environmental such as the bedding or the feed. They should be able to tolerate 70 degrees since they are all feathered.

thank you so much! I ll add some heat in there for overnight. This week is suppose to get as low as 40 so that extra heat will help them.
