9 WEEK OLD SILKIE HAS A CROOKED BEAK

it seems to eat okay we snipped off the very tips thinking it would close the beak , but it didnt, will it be okay , or do any of you see a problem in the future..i will post pics IMG_5493.JPG IMG_5493.JPG IMG_5495.JPG IMG_5496.JPG IMG_5498.JPG
 
The chickens with crooked beaks or “scissors beak” can get worse as the chicken grows up. These things may be genetic or due to a vitamin/mineral deficiency in the parents. Most people trim the beaks as you have, and feed the chickens out of a deeper bowl. Adding water to the chicken feed to make it moist may help it get empnough to eat, but make it fresh daily in a clean bowl. She is a cute bird, and I hope she does well. This is a common problem.
