Just wondering if anyone has thoughts on these guys. I have 11 chicks. 2 silkies from a farm supply store, 2 silver lacewing wyandotte from the same store, and 7 little mixed babes from someone who had free range silkies. He was under the impression that they were full silkies but it seems he might have had a random rooster come along and mate with his female silkies as only 3 have what seem to be silkie feathers and 1 of those doesn't have black skin. The others have poufs but but not the silkie feathers, and all have 5 toes on each foot. I feel that one is obviously a rooster as his walnut comb has just shot up overnight. Any thoughts?

This is Simba... although he seems like maybe he might be a pullet.

This is Beaker. He/she is a silkie with a single comb (part of why I believe my chicks are mixed)

Elvis... who I realize might have to be renamed to Priscilla, but who knows.

Mohawk (I have three boys so this was obviously their name pick)

Birdie (hopefully this is a girl as daughter named her this)

And our pretty obvious boy (at least I think so) Chanteclaire

This is our wyandotte who acts very much like a boy, squaring off and bumping the others. Its name is double stuffed.

Our other wyandotte, Oreo (because he/she is more black and the other is more white)

This is our farm supply silkie, Peep.

AMD the other farm supply silkie, Chirp.

the two farm supply silkies are almost identical except that one is just a tiny bit bigger.

Heres a group pic... although not everyone is shown here.

Wow, that’s a beautiful flock! I can’t help you on your silkie situation since I’ve never raised any nor plan to. I hope someone more educated than myself helps you. Good luck on your flock and best wishes!

Thank you! I'm pretty fond of the little buggers. I lost a few a couple weeks ago from something that I'm still not sure of and was worried I'd lose more but so far so good! I have 6 ISA browns as well just over 12 weeks old (so right around the corner of egg layong) and I just love them as well.

Here they are
