I just hatched out 20 of 22 eggs. 21 had made it to hatch day, and one died while zipping (speaking of which--why would that happen? It just stopped working at some point and was completely still with its bill sticking out of the shell. Several hours later I pulled it out when removing some hatchlings, and it was perfectly formed, no visible problems--just dead).
Pics to come. These are mostly a non-standard color I'm calling tuxedo blue, plus some blues and a very few blacks. All very very cute. And all sold! Which is good and bad--it's hard to give up so much cuteness!
Edited to add: This is my largest hatch so far. It's also my second batch in a staggered run--so it's the first time I've had eggs in the incubator while another batch was hatching, and then had them hatch later. I think it was a success!! Now I can't wait to candle the eggs that were in with this hatch due May 10, and see how they made it through lockdown...
