]I had a baby chick that was about a month old. It was good one day and dead the next. I wonder what happened. I thought possibly coccsidiosis. I didn't see any blood in the droppings. I have a bunch of chicks different ages mixed in with this chick. I did see a orange ish color in one of their droppings. I don't know which chick it came from or even if that orange color means blood. The day before the sick chick died, I noticed it was just laying around, keeping its eyes closed, not really eating or drinking. The other chicks were walking all over it and it didn't even move. I separated it from the others. I gave it some tetracycline antibiotic directly into its mouth. In the morning it was dead. Now I think one of the other chicks is starting to act the same way. I separated this one too. I have started treating them with corid for coccidiosis. About 2 weeks ago I treated all the chicks with corid for coccidiosis because I did notice some blood in the droppings. Could anyone help me out? What do you think is going on?
Thanks

Now I have another problem. I don't know if it's something totally different or if it's related to the chick that I had that just died. I have a tolbunt that is about a month old. She started out acting similar to the chick that just died. She was laying around, closing her eyes a lot. Then she started walking funny. It was like the floor was slippery and she was slipping around. She was having trouble walking. I have pine chips in the brooder to walk on. Her leg would go out to the side. It was more so in her left leg. It looked like it was broke or out of socket. I looked and felt all around. Everything seemed normal. I did some research and thought it could possibly be spraddle leg(spray leg). But it showed pictures of both their legs going out to the side. My chicks legs don't look like that. I taped them together and separated her from the others. After 2 days I took the tape off to see how she was walking and now she can hardly walk or stand up at all. She is falling around and tipping over. She try's to hold herself up with her wings. She is eating and drinking very little. At times she breaths real hard. She will spread out her wings a little bit and her tail goes up and down. Please help. What could be going on? Sorry this is very lengthy.
Thanks again
