My chickens tore apart an egg! Shell was hanging on by a thread. Hens did all the work on incubating and never had this problem with any of the other chicks!

I think so or my eyes are deceiving me. It was cold so I put it under heat lamp and separated it. It has not chirpped at all even when I seen it move.

I agree with PD Riverman.
It might be the heroic thing to try to save it,. but there are parts missing.
do the deed and move on to the next one.

The hardest part is this is the only egg that was fertilized by my beloved Titan that disappeared about two weeks ago.
