I have a bird that is about 6 months old with wry neck. What can I offer him that might help? He is a bym. Weight seems normal. None of the other birds are showing any signs of illness. Started within the last 24 hours.

Do you have any pictures? Usually for wry neck, I would offer human vitamin E 400 IU and 1/4 tablet of human super b complex vitamins daily with a spoonful of scrambled egg or yolk. Wry neck is a neurological symptom that can be from a head or neck injury, a vitamin E or thiamine deficiency, and is seen in a few diseases, either Mareks and in some respiratory diseases that affect the brain. Here is a good buy:

I can get those instead. I can't get to the store until tomorrow morning so I'm working with what I have on hand.
This is a picture of him. I can get better ones when my hubby is on break. He works from home.

I honestly believe it is due to nutrition issues. We discovered a few days ago that they were not eating most of the feed and just picking through it for the bits they liked. We switched then back to starter feed to get them built back up. This guy is just having a difficult time.

What are you feeding? There are some scratch and pecky type feeds where they can pick and chose favorite seeds. I prefer a homogenous chicken crumble or pellet where each bite is the same. Adding some water to a small amount in a bowl can add some interest to a new feed. Egg, tuna, and a poultry multivitamin would be helpful.

Well.... Rusty is much improved this morning. He is up walking around and holding his head up. He even ate some feed on his own. Im going to keep him inside a few more days to watch him. I think his neck is still a little weak and his gait is not quite right. But he seems to be on the mend.
