Did you open the bator? That will cause this problem. I speak from experience with that. I lost a dozen chicks in one batch that way, and I am quite sure it was because I opened the bator a few times.
Humidity is so controversial. Personally, I like mine around 60% at hatch time, and not more than 65%. Some say it really depends where you live and your altitude. This is just what works for me.
Anyway, congratulations on your new chicks!
I did very very briefly to pull chicks but my humidity stays high. It wasn't sticky or shrink wrapped or anything
Anyway, I'm hopeful for at least 1 of these last 3. A BLRW is almost out The one I broke is still moving in their. Hope its a good sign. The other dark brahma is still moving in there but no pip.
Ready for this hatch to be over. Good numbers though! 11 Lt brahmas shipped from north Florida. Bought 12, got 15. She also included the Dk brahmas for me. The other batch, not as good. Bought 12 got 18 eggs. 2 Marans and 6 BLRW hatched. These came all the way from West Virgina though so I figured a lower rate.
