In the last few days or so my Rhode Island Red babies seems more interested in the grass. I got them in their coop at night, but their run isn't finished just yet. They are still small enough for their outside pen on the grass, so I put them in it every day like I normally do. Here recently they no longer go straight for their feeder, but are all about the grass and dirt. They still eat the feed I give them, but their first choice is the grass. Is this normal for them to go for the grass first?

It’s summer time, they’re catching bugs and grubs the firsts second they get out, yes it’s completely normal

Good, It's just they're my first chicka babies, and I worry a little bit here or there. I know I probably don't know enough, but I have kept them alive so far without too much trouble.
