I got this emailed to me, cause I joined the bantam yahoo group...isn't the cost a bit high?
NPIP FRESH HATCHING Bearded Silkie EGGS FOR SALE;
Eggs gathered daily, only fresh eggs will be mailed priority mail.
$100.00 a dozen, w/ 6 extra eggs free, includes shipping.

It is out of *my* price range, but if it's a big name breeder, people will pay that and more. My heck, look at that violet silkie hen that just went for over $1k. For a chicken!

Not in my budget. ;-)

that is quite steep, i paid 60 for a kelso/sweater stag, but from a good line, a 100 is expensive, i think

Nice of 'em to include shipping and extras in that price...

If anyone here wants some mixed color silky eggs, I've got them for you at...hmmm...how about $50 for what's laid in a week - (about 5 eggs) lol!

May I ask who was selling them and what varieties they were selling?
