Its rainy and cold here. I just went out to feed the cats and check on the guineas. One cat I could not find. She wasnt in the garage or barn. Hmm. So I fed the guineas and there she was! I made a straw nest under a box in the coop for the Guineas. BB was in the nest sleeping...with two eggs!
I walked thru the shelterbelt yesteday and gathered the 4 eggs I could find. I knew the cold spell was coming and they are forcasting snow (it is May isnt it?) I didnt want the eggs to freeze since Guineas are not the best moms.
I guess since it was cold and wet, the stupid birds decided to lay in the nest I made. BB wanted a warm cozy spot and decided that looked the best. One hen I call Peg, because of a missing toe and she limps, was roosting in the coop too. The other 4 were in the rain.
