A broody hen and a new knee

Last week, I had knee surgery. It is a bit tough, but today my niece who is taking care of my birds, brought in the news that she thinks we have a broody hen. We have been hoping for weeks.

I have special eggs on hold, so quickly notified them. And if the thought of baby chicks won't get me off this bed in a couple of weeks, nothing will! I love having a hobby.

Through my illness and recovery, my animals were sometimes the only things that got me up and out

. A broody is such a blessing, I hope you get to stuff her with eggs and have a great hatch rate!
