A bucket o' chicken

The Pacific Northwest is having a heat wave, with the hottest temps on record expected today (100+... in a climate where we don't have a/c).

So I played "Dunk the Chicken" last night:
Beaker:

Dozer:

Some liked it, like Beaker, the splash Polish.
Some tolerated it, like Dozer, the BR. Check out the stink eye.
Some hated it. HATED it. There are no pictures of the total freak-outs nor of the "walk on water like Jesus" impressions.

I dunked 10 chickens in all. Or attemped to.

I also played "Dunk the Kitties" but there are no pictures of that, either, because it took 2 people to play that game.

We make it rain over the coop with a nozzle. Most of em love it. The ducks are TOOOOO funny when we do that.

It was 118 here yesterday.

When I let my girls out, I put the sprinkler on the grass for like five minutes. One to get the hot water out of the hose, and two to wet the grass. Then I leave the sprinkler on really low in a water dish. I have to keep it low cause they are afraid of it.

Well last night I went to go fix the water holder and I switched my hose back to the sprinkler. My girls where around the bowl, so I turned up the sprinkler. Most ran off but my EE chicken Lacey. Ducked down low, acting like if she ducked low enough the water would not get her. She kept on moving and finally figured out she is just going to have run for it.
