Hi,
I have a 6300 model Little giant AET that sort of hums and you can feel a vibration when you touch the incubator. Is this ok or should I replace the motor? It belongs to a friend so I don't know how it did before.
Thanks

That more then likely means it has a few months use on it. My new 6300 is fairly quiet, but it's only ran for 22-23 days total, but does hum. It's ran off of a small AC motor so it will have a slight 60 (or 50) cycle hum to it.. Might want to buy a new motor for a backup, and keep it around. But I'm going to say what you have will run for ages yet. My new one with the heater fan turned off you can hear it through the incubator shell with your ear really close. Make sure the motor mounting screws are tightened snug...but don't strip them out where it mounts on the side rail though.
I would think until you hear a lot louder noise from 5-6 feet away to not worry a lot about it though.
