Some examples of ways to name your farm....
A physical feature of your farm - Shady Pines, Windy Hills, Silent Brook (dried up creek)
Your last name's meaning - like you did for your horse
Your name in a different language - in German, Russian, Gaelic, French.... whatever, it could be family heritage or just a language you like
An ancestral name - a family name that has some significance to you life - a great grandparent who raised horses or farmed? Bailey's Belted (for grandpa Bailey who raised belted cows)
My hubby and I wrote down names as we thought them up. Then we picked our 4 favorites. We asked our entire extended family to vote via email. The top vote winner became the name we use on our egg carton label.
