Hi guys,
I haven't posted on here in quite a while! I've got a mystery for you. I have a Buff Orpington who has had bald patches. I thought it was mostly self inflicted as her tummy was quite bald. I sewed her a shirt/saddle to remedy the situation. Underneath the fabric the feathers are coming back quite nicely. But now she has bald spots on her shoulders and wings! I noticed that other chickens are pecking them occasionally but not like crazy. She's around the middle of the pecking order. She has everything she needs, access to good food, water, calcium, protein (scraps), all the free range she could want, no one is too cooped up, there are enough nest boxes.
So what gives and how do I make it stop?!
